Stupid people trying to write smart films seem incapable of not falling back on the laziest possible interpersonal conflict - infidelity. A bunch of similar wibbly wobbly timey wimey mystery films do it. This movie totally wastes a cool concept to emphasize a really fucking dumb character/behavior.
