Who is the Axl Rose of cinema?
>>215453580Obviously Johnny Depp
>>215453580Do you think Axl would give up his career to go back in time and NOT be repeatedly raped by multiple men (including his father and stepfather) as a child?
>>215453580https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwUVxzOfV3ANirvana won
>>215453580mickey rourke
>>215453612Young Axl was probably a predator magnet. He was just way too pretty.
>>215453642how did Krist not die right there
>>215453642Oh I tought Grol became a retarded prima-donna after he created his own band, turns out he was like that all along.
>>215453580How did GNR get so big? There were a million bands around the time who looked and sounded roughly the same, many of which got their break earlier. How did they manage to stand out?
>Police and niggers, that's right, get outta my way>Don't need to buy none of your gold chains today>Immigrants and faggots, they make no sense to me>They come to our country, and think they'll do as they please>Like start some mini-Iran, or spread some fucking disease>And they talk so many goddamn ways, it's all Greek to mehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgIRClKD4RIHow did they get away with it?
>>215455283>How did GNR get so big?the alcohol, mostly
>>215455283The name is very cool. A thousand times cooler sounding than Motley Crue or Whitesnake.
>>215455283>sounded roughly the sameBut they didn't. Rose had one of the largest vocal ranges of any mainstream singer even now.
>>215455283>There were a million bands around the time who looked and sounded roughly the samethey did it better
>>215456132different times, better times
>>215455283they made catchy and hard rock n roll and had members that looked different from one another and brought unique things to the sound, along with a dangerous rep. then they built on their sound with more epic, ballady songs like november rain and that's what made them huge.
I liked, I liked it when he was a radio DJ in grand theft autos.
>>215453580Do hot women like raped ginger manlets?
>>215453580Meatloaf in fight club with the bitch tits.
>>215453738what a fag
>>215456564this. Wonder what would have happened if they came together in the 70s instead of the 80s. Probably no Axl & Freddie duets but we would have gotten some kino.
>>215456877He was handsome and charismatic and too busy raping and beating them for them to realize how badly his own bussy had been vandalized
>>215456132One in a Million is unironically one of my favorite songs of all time. As a kid I liked it for the edginess but as I got older and experienced more of the real world I started to see it as the ultimate expression of the working class white man who just wants to be left alone.
>>215457062It’s also just a good acoustic rock banger.
>immigrants and OPs.
>>215453580Who's the babe?
>>215458954Stephanie Seymore. Victoria's Secret supermodel during their heyday.
>>215455283No. Here's an experiment for you. Listen to GNR and then listen to Velvet Revolver. It's 3/5 of the same band and the singer is actually irrelevant. GNR had a guy named Izzy Stradlin that knew waaaaay more about musical arrangement than any other hard rock band. So where all of the changes and progressions are so obvious in Velvet Revolver (as well as Motley Crue, etc.), despite having Slash, Duff and the drummer, GNR tempo changes, riffs, song structure, etc. are all sort of obscure and impossible to predict. It's not that they are weird or jarring, they are just BETTER and unique and flow in a less obvious pattern because Stradlin wasn't influenced by hair rock that preceded GNR except for maybe Aerosmith and the Rolling Stones. He was into blues crap and other music that required actual knowledge of musical theory, not just shredding a guitar. That set GNR apart musically to a great degree, and the other was they toned down the image from being half tranny Hollywood types in makeup to like half midwestern biker aesthetic right at the correct moment, which made them more "real" to everyone in flyover states that thought Poison and Warrant were fags. The only other band to attempt this and do it Ok was Skid Row, who were massive at the them and everyone forgets because their second album, which was fanfuckintastic, flopped for being too heavy metal.
>>215456158>OOOOOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEN
Charlie Sheen or Billy Bob Thornton.
>>215459744More on this. Then listen to Izzy Stradlin's solo projects. They will remind you more of what made GNR unique than Velvet Revolver will. Slash was a soloist. That's it. Izzy was the soul of the band. You can also listen to the new GNR tracks which are just as musically stale and soulless as Velvet Revolver. If Skid Row hadn't totally bent over for the ballad money, and Bach hadn't started writing nonsense lyrics like Bob Dylan, they could have made a big comeback and probably made a lot of money being the only game left in town when GNR imploded. Alas...
>>215459744based Izzy straddling enthusiast
Klaus Kinski
>>215460124Bach is a psycho. Everyone who has met him describes him as the worst person they've ever met and the MTV fans were tired of him by 1991 because of how obnoxious he was. Too bad because those first two records indeed slapped.
Because slash is so fucking cool
