I liked this movie. I thought it was an interesting take on the vampire genre. That being said, I didn't think it was god's gift to horror, like a lot of people seem to.Is it simply that most people don't watch a lot of horror or what?

The soul music/rapper ensemble is presented as pure black excellence - the equivalent Irish song is presented as a bloodied horror (which is ironically more diverse than the former musical). Not only is the sole white woman of importance in the movie a coalburner but she's also presented as the evil that lets the vampires in.
