Luke and Leia are extremely callous in this film. Leia barely flinches when Alderaan is blown to bits right in front of her. Luke sees the smoldering corpses of his adoptive parents and the expression on his face is like the mild irritation of a man noticing piss drops on a public toilet seat. Neither Leia or Luke show the slightest bit of concern when the Rogue Squadron pilots die screaming.
