The people they call writers now have no talent, brain rotted nepo babies, no inspiration, no life experience, no real interests, they don't read books. They learn what they know on fucking reddit and similar slop social media and regurgitate it into a word doc then scroll all night and never fucking read or do anything truly interesting. I also try not to be too dismissive of anti-religion movies, because I'm from somewhere where religion is not really a big deal anymore, it wasn't a big deal in my family, but I know not everywhere is like that. As much as I can roll my eyes at a movie like this as attacking an antiquated easy target and pretending thats brave while shying away from all the actual centres of power that now run society and can harm your life for going against them, there are people who are born into stiflingly religious areas. There are kids being raised as Jehovahs witnesses or whatever. But it definitely wears on me to some degree. Hollywood itself, not just some bad apples but the whole thing, is pound for pound more of a cultish nexus of abuse and social control and sex abuse than most religion in the West at this stage

Last act was contrived as fuck but it was a good movie in general. Sophie and Chloe were both likeable and Hugh Grant was interesting.
