>>215480470>muh Lake Mungo
>>215480329>Psycho is #5>Elm Street is #20 lol, LMAO even.
>>215480329>No Maniac 1980 Yea, your list is irrelevant.
>>215480329>A movie from 2008Hilarious. All of the greatest horror films ever created were filmed before the year 2000.
>>215480626I watched this a couple days ago and it fucking kicked ass. Pretty brutal and genuinely disturbing. Like a solid 8.5/10 at least. The best moment in the movie made pussy ass Gene Siskel walk out of the theater
>>215480565>Blair Witch Project above TCM
>>215480730I thought for sure it would've been RHPS being above TCM that would set people off. But yeah, idk, Blair Witch is great for its simplicity. I find TCM to be somewhat unpleasant to watch, which is the point, but it's not something I would just throw on. It's a great film, undoubtedly, though.
>>215480681Yup. It’s the most slept on psychological/horror/slasher film of all time. It’s super disturbing from start-to-finish and has some of the best gore effects ever filmed by the one and only splatter master, Tom Savini. Maniac fucking rules.
>>215480749RHPS isn’t even a horror film. It’s a sleazy comedy musical with degenerate tranny overtones. Are you gay and retarded?
Always see Rosemary's Baby mentioned in horror threads and never The Ninth Gate. Weird.
>>215480565>Scream>Videodrome>Rocky Horror>Blair Witch>Fire Walk With Me>Where the dead go to die>August UndergroundFucking LMAO at these being in anybody’s Top 20. Holy shit…
Anxiety (fear) is rooted in the unknown.Horror comes from knowledge.Furthermore, I go so far as to say that Terror is completely adjacent, from a loss of control.
>>21548032910 I like, in no particular order:>Gremlins>Return of the Living Dead>Weapons>Jason X>Malignant>An American Werewolf in London>One Cut of the Dead>Ghostwatch>I Saw the Devil>Braindead
>>215480329The hills have eyesJust for the rape scene of course
>>215480329You're not getting enough cred but your top 5 is very close to mine1. The Shining2. Psycho3. Alien4. The Exorcist???Can't really decide which movie to place at 5th but many of the other movies on your list are candidates>Suspiria>Jaws>Halloween>Dawn of the Dead>Night of the Living Dead>Don't Look Now>The Fly>The Evil Dead-trilogy
>>215481249>>Jason Xhuh?
>>215481457It's just so much fun, despite it being completely retarded. The decision to make all of the people on the spaceship wear woolen knitwear is fucking bizarre and hilarious.
>>215480329>3. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)>4. Alien (1979)>9. Dawn of the Dead (1978)lol, lmao even
>>215480329Oh look, it's a list of the most famous horror movies ever. Fuck off retard.
>>215480749The original TCM is a hilarious movie full of laughs though. Works better as comedy than a horror.
>>215480681>>215480776It sucks and William Lustig is a fucking hack.>oooooh it's so le brutal and disturbingI was bored the whole way through. Go back to r3ddit you dumb faggots.
>>215480946Post yours then, little guy.
>>215480819I'm on this board with you, so yeah probably.
>>215480329Solid list, but not one mention of The Omen here or anywhere in the thread.
>>215480329Short Halloween videohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bYcFX61sCkQ

>>215480565House of 1000 corpses
>>215480585Elm street is objectively worse than Psycho
>>215482761>Jacob's Ladderpure kino
>>215480329>>215480565>>215481249>not a single japanese filmOpinions discarded
>>215480667What about Get Out (2017)? Widely considered to be one of the best horror movies of all time, and gives an incredible look in to the evil behind white supremacy.
Removed from the popular myths and marketing hype that surrounded it in the 70s, The Exorcist is a boring and often stupid film.
>>215482949you are a boring and stupid human being.
Watch more horror movies. Thats like a list you would make in high school or like in your 20s (sorry if thats the case). Some of them are solid films though, but there are so much better stuff out there
>>215482961It was The Blair Witch Project of the 70s: the film being much less interesting than the exaggerated stories people told each other about it.
>>215482949I like the narrative more than the movie itself, like the themes and idea behind it are nice, its not scary its just a solid story. Exorcist 3 is one of my favourite movies of all time with the context ot the first movie.
>>215480329Maybe actually watch some movies.
>>215482886>One Cut of the Dead
>>215482886I've seen a few. Find Japanese cinema overrated generally. If I had to recommend one it would be pic related.
here's minetop1-20: the vvitch
OP, I apologize on behalf of us who actually watch movies. The anons of today rarely watches any movies, and especially not the movies which are 40-50+ years old (your top 10). These anons are bitter about the current state of film and takes out their anger on people who knows better.
Shall I say the movie they're all afraid to name? Shall I break the mold and show my true face?1. Hereditary
>>2154803291. Alien2. Candyman 913. Aliens4. Nightmare on Elm Street5. TCM 746. Friday the 13th 097. ScreamThose are all the ones I’ve enjoyed and would watch again
>>215480329>>215480565I like Evil Dead more than Evil Dead II.
>>215482890Let the Right One In and Get Out are both very good modern horror movies but they don't really hold up to the classics especially Get Out. Jordan Peele is pretty good director but his movies are over hyped to a degree because of social issues and the Reddit/social media hivemind. Sort of like how Avengers End game is a decent action flick and a good end cap to all the Marvel stuff but if you ask reddit or brain-dead influencers they'll tell you is the greatest thing ever created.
>>215480329
>>215481249>>215482761>Return of the Living Dead>Eyes Without a FaceAny anons in this thread who haven't seen these movies should do so tonight.
Any list that has evil dead 2 as "horror" is an automatic troll.
Hello
>>215487131>>215486820blyat
>>215486954It is horror.
>>215486954it's a zombie movie, of course it's a horror... or don't you think braindead or zombi 2 is horror?
>>215487143You look very great. I am very pleased if you could follow me on letterboxd and perhaps we could establish friendship, if you please could give me your phone number I could call you, in my country I am very rich much.
