Movie sets itself apart because not once does Nic Cage's character even try to go sober, he is a man on a mission deadset in drinking himself to death. The movie doesn't glorify it at all, his death is a whimper, especially when compared to the bravado and presence he had in earlier scenes. It's a great movie and his best role.

We get naked and her body is amazing and mine is a mess and she didn't care. She was ready and willing and wanted me legs spread. Now, given that I was an out of shape alcoholic and was roughly 23 drinks in that day (average for me) my dick wasn't getting hard. My dick was right next to my oneitis' beautiful pussy after having been pining for her for 10 fucking years. 10 years and there she was. Byt my dick just wouldn't get hard.
