fuck me, the scariest part is the next generations being completely retarded becouse of effect of radiation on pregnancies and lack of education. There's no going back from that.
>>215483081The Days Ahead (2025)Pretty decent movie about a nuclear bomb going off in the UK and follows 3 different people.
>>215483081The actual state of the UK today is scarier.

>>215483081You faggots really overstate how scary and disturbing this movie is. It's fairly dark, yeah, but it's far from one of the most disturbing films ever.
>>215483504>The Days Ahead (2025)>pretty decent>4,5/10lol
>>215483984the dreadfulness of the movie comes from it starting to spin the wheel in your mind and you start thinking about the scenario. As I said, for me it's fucked up becouse of the future of human race, culture and civilization - all future generations will be retards. Not the funny Idiocracy kind of retards, but retards that do not understand concept of death and grief, retards that do not understand concept of empathy and love. Irreversible devolution that would take thousands or even hundreds of thousands years to fix.
Its over wrought and unrealistic in its pretension and perverse attitude toward human social behaviors and adaptabilty. With a clear eye the post nuclear sequence shows utter contempt for human drives including cooperation, communication and recognition. If the immediate penalty for thievery was death, for example, either entire communities would revolve around stealing or corruption would make stealing a de facto reward to beneficiaries. No such consideration exists in this movie which merely wants to browbeat its audience with the contempt it has for any one or any institution with any agency.
mid movie and i'm a bong
How do you marathon a 2 hour movie?
>>215484952For zoomers its an achievement tp not start watching tiktoks mid-film
>>215484952you scroll 4chan on the other screen, that makes it possible, otherwise yeah, it's pretty hard
>>215483081just like Hiroshima
>>215483984agreed, I like this filmBut come and see is a film I don't want to ever watch again. >>215483081it was set in the 1980s at the height of the cold war you absolute huge fucking American moron.>>215484579>culture and civilization - all future generations will be retards. >>215486168Moron. Nuclear winter is real.
>>215484952I try to take regular breaks in order to catch up on my social media and edge my nub
Is this the Threads?
>>215486168When Hiroshima and Nagasaki got bombed they did not get contaminated heavily becouse the Americans detonated the bombs in air, thus the radiation got dispersed in atmosphere. It was complete luck, becouse americans wanted to maximaze the destruction, and we didn't know that radiation contamination exists yet (pretty sure it got 'discovered' only after Chernobyl), so they did the mid-air detonation for bigger explosion. Would americans know about radiation and radiation contamination they would use ground detonation. AFAIK majority of today's nukes are made to explode on ground, so they would contaminate it.
>>215484579Nogs are like this now
>>215484784>Its over wrought and unrealistic in its pretension and perverse attitude toward human social behaviors and adaptabilty. It would probably be worse than what was presented here. Look how retarded and disgusting people acted during covid.
>>215484579>not understand concept of death and grief, retards that do not understand concept of empathy and loveUmmm, we're already there, just look at some of the posts on this site...
>>215484952play it at 2x speed and have your finger on the 5second+ skip button when boring slow stuff happens that doesnt add anything to the movie (endless walking/scenery shots for example)
>>215486397>'discovered' only after Chernobylno, they knew it way earlier which is why there was an eventual agreement to limit nuclear testing to underground.
>>215483081>guy under the gauze
Oi fokin ell me boiby is a whoite boiby it beggars belief by jove! Kill it kill it! Give me a beautiful brown boiby!
>>215486810No it wouldn't. People conformed during covid due to... social pressure. In a nuclear wasteland no one will be stealing because of... social pressure. OR they band together and make raiding parties because of social pressure. In reality there wouldnt be open air prisons for people, they would just have them work is small groups and then when they die consolidate the groups, if were imagining a total societal breakdown between cities. If two cities are functional enough its just back to work but everyone is a ditch digger. Total civilizational collapse doesnt UNFUCK human brains from civilization. The movie isn't realistic. It's fear mongering irrespective of if you find it entertaining.
>>215483984It's just one of those misery porns where everyone makes the worst decisions possible. Did they seriously wait like nine months to think about leaving the city?
>>215486397>AFAIK majority of today's nukes are made to explode on groundwrong. apart from specific types of bunker buster nukes, literally ALL of them are designed to explode 100-500 feet above ground because this also maximizes their destructive potential with heat and blast waves.if you drop it on the ground, a lot of the blast energy will literally go into the earth and barely do any damage to your actual target
