>>215488587The main characters are the POV chapters and most of Stannis' story is told through Davos' perspective. Later it is Melisandre. Same reason why the Red Wedding never surprised me. Robb never got a POV chapter, it was all from Cat's perspective, so I knew by the first book Robb was on borrowed time. Hell, you barely get to know Robb at all.
