Am I the only one who DESPISES these group therapy/alcoholic anonymous scenes that are shoved in like half the tv shows around? I can't be the only one who always feels the need to skip them.
>>
would you like to talk about it?

Let's chill with the cross talk and tell our own shares, please.

loudermilk was a pretty good representation of what meetings are like

You are telling me you enjoy it? Even when the protagonist finds a black friend/romantic interest but for some reason or another everything goes south?

Maybe you should attend them. It seems like you have a lot of anger inside you

>I just really like big dicks

It's good in The Bear because it actually fleshes out the plot/characters with explaining WHY the characters are like they are. I do believe some shows just pop this in to normalize therapy/meetings (and by normalize I mean the fucking writers using the scenes as therapy)
>>
>>215490947
I do too but I also despise AA and the culture around clinical therapy
>>
>attend AA
>i have to announce my name (why? i thought we were anonymous)
>some alkies who completely destroyed their brain rambles for 45 minutes
>i have to hold hands and chant stuff at the end
>a lot of people are there because they're court ordered
>a lot of people look miserable and like they are bad day away from a complete relapse (is this what i have to look forward to?)

AA works for some people and that's great. Doesn't work for me.

No, they use it as a gimmick to do just what you said. Get characters to explain their motivations. Why Tony sees a shrink in Sopranos even though it adds nothing accept character explanation dunno
>>
The one in Patriot is really funny.

>>215491298
That one's good, too.

Faggot.

>it adds nothing accept character explanation
Most of which was conveyed adequately by the great acting and dialog. It undercut its own quality because retards wouldn't get it
>>
Why do more incels not attend these meetings?
>>
>>215491373
High dose mushrooms are unironically better in every way
>>
>>215490947
Its because at least half the writers/directors/producers in film/tv are fucking addicts or pedophiles and think therapy will help them. So they shove their "experience" into films/tv. The average person doesn't need that shit because they don't need someone else to hear their problems, they know what they're doing wrong and how to fix it
>>
>>215491378
The Milfy scenes were good though
They actually added a bit here and there, you have James Gandolfini being funny, you have Lorraine Bracco looking hot as fuck, and you don't have the sob story of 10 side characters that won't ever appear again
Tony also often lies to himself and Melfi, adding that extra spice to it.
