Klendathu must be eliminated.

Our greatest ally The Skinnies need us to travel across the galaxy and defeat Klendathu
>>
>>215491467
Milky Way is like 100,000 light years across, did the bugs launch that rock in FTL speed or something?
>>
>>215491625
They didn't. My personal theory that I've posted on here before is that the asteroid was an accidental random asteroid that the military government decided to blame on the bugs as an excuse.

>hurr durr this means dat Buenos Aires was an inside job! I am so smart.

>nukes
They clearly have FTL, considering they're able to attack a system that's tens of thousands of light years away. Also, that's not where the Earth is.
>>
If it's a falseflag then how the fuck does the Rodger Young crash into the asteroid in hyperspace and lose its radio tower?

Checkm8 you fucking retards.
>>
>>215491732
attacking your own side to make a false flag look real is right out of the Art of War...you must be a civilian
>>
>>215491696
Either the bug meteor was traveling at FTL speed and somehow slowed down as it passed Jupiter, the bugs launched it before humans discovered fire, or it was a false-flag attack.
>>
>>215491625
YES

CARMEN RUNS HER SHIP HEAD FIRST INTO IT AND LOSES HER FUCKING RADIO TOWER IN HYPERSPACE!!!!

IT'S NOT A FUCKING FALSEFLAG!!! STOP PARROTING THIS RETARDED ARGUEMENT!!!

IF THE BUGS CAN'T FTL THEN WHAT'S THE POINT OF SETTING UP AN ARACHNID QUARANTINE ZONE?! FUCK!!
>>
>>215491774
This is just an image that the film makers didnt put much thought into while making it(since they are just making a stupid action movie, and not 2001) and retards overanalyzed it to prove their stupid, nonsensical theory.
>>
>>215491749
NTA, but you conveniently forget that Carmen had changed their course. Had she not made that change that scene would not have happened.
>>
>>215491881
It doesn't matter, as any slower-than-light travel from the closest star would take years at minimum.
>>
>>215491683
The right to self defense is a human right, which means bugs don't have it.
>>
>>215491774
>>215491625
In the novel, humanity has FTL, and can travel a little over 1 light year per day. The bugs are supposedly technologically advanced, so we can assume they have similar capabilities.
The distances covered still don't make sense though, as Klendathu is on the other end of the galaxy.
On top of that, FTL existing also means that planets could be destroyed like nothing, by simply sending a ship into it at 365 times the speed of light.
>>
>>215491774
They have to be able to employ some sort of space travel, otherwise they would never have been a threat to anyone. To fit the bug theme and to explain why it didn't just collide with Earth at FTL speed, I'd say they have bugs who can access wormholes
>>
>>215492141
They fart eggs into space at sublight speed. The only time we see them launching anything from planetside is when they attack the ships in orbit with slower-than-light projectiles.
>>
You faggots ask irrelevant questions like this citing science and taking the dumb photo as gospel yet ignore your own reasoning means there is no way for the Federation to have traveled far enough outside of the galaxy to take the stupid photo in the first place.
>>
>>215491599
if they nuked the bug planet then the asteroids that the bugs sent would be radioactive and even more destructive to earth
>>
>>215492177
It's also established the tanker bug doesn't exist before Tango Urila because we don't see one before Tango Urila.
It's also established there are no flying bugs before Whiskey Outpost because we don't see them before Whiskey Outpost.
It's also established your mom should have swallowed you and bullying is an innately positive thing because, holy fuck, stop overthinking this shit. We see four types of like six types of bug in this movie and every iteration introduces more, some being ftl capable. Just because we don't see it don't mean it isn't there.
Also in Roughnecks you actually do see it.

Do they, or is this just some "you have to pick a side" niggeraciousness

nukes don't work against underground bugs
but you do have a point, they should've sent like robots or something

>his brain is so rotted with marxism he doesnt comprehend that the movie twists the original story into the mid wit take of "zealotry bad"
>when the original books explored a deep concept of human nature in how humanity cannot stop waging war with itself yet at the same time also needs to be socially cohesive to function.
I pity those who have no critical thinking, no dreams, no flights of fancy. Only empty lives of consumerism and parroting whatever popular streamers say.
>>
>>215492005
Heinlein wrote the novel and didnt write it as a parody obviously so any talk of it being a flase flag is retard tier redit faggotry
>>
>>215491467
>nooo it's an anti-fascist allegory!
Too bad, I thought it was cool as fuck
>>
>>215491646
Do you think red crayons make children communists too?
I love Starship Troopers, watched it a ton when it was in the theatres, but even back then everyone understood the not so subtle messages Ver Hooven put in there. Like how everyone in the mobile infantry fucking dies or is horribly maimed. You don't see Rico mourning his lost friends because he is just another unfeeling bug, like his enemy.
Do you fucking get it? The message is war takes everything from you eventually.
>>
>>215491599
in the book they were like 40k spess merens with power armor, obviously this wouldnt work for a movie trying to portray the USA as evil because space marines are pretty damn popular and cool, even the chaos ones.
>>
>>215493216
Man, you're a pathetic fucking bug, huh?
