Since Cameron got obsessed with blue cat pussy and Nolan fell off a cliff, QT is literally the last writer-director with an authentic voice and mainstream appeal. It's like Hollywood pulled up the ladder directly after him, and refused to let any more subversive outsiders work. Ever since Tarantino broke in, the trend has been remake/sequel/IP mixed with DEI and hard leftism, and they phased out buying spec scripts from new writers completely (especially the white guys).
