I played Funkytown at my work and while most people gleefully sang and whistled along to an 80s song they haven't heard in a while, I spotted that hidden twinge of horror in the eyes of about two of my coworkers, younger guys. You can always spot the corrupted by playing this song.

An old family friend-of-a-friend is credited in the production of the main song. Came from money. Dad was a very minor artist active around the same period, and he recently surprised me by talking about Music 80 (edit: Sound 80) a few years ago, which I guess was the hip studio in town at the time.
