Anyone else put on DVD commentary tracks as background noise when falling asleep?
>>
>>215495953
No, never because most of them suck.
One's that don't suck a short list:
>The Goonies (some weird shit is alluded to)
>Revenge of the Sith (same)

that is all.
>>
Commentaries that are certified gold.
Fight club
Joyride
Resident evil

Based, I do this with Simpsons DVD commentary
>>
Dight club is great because pitt and Norton are jovial and relaxed throughout the whole recording, i dont know how long into dvd commentaries became a thing but for this movie they were very eager to share their experiences and in high spirits.
>>
Sixth seasons box fucking pisses me off, such tacky shit.
>>
Resident evil has Milla and Michelle talking about movies and the realities of the production process while goofing around. They are a laugh riot.

I like listening to Paul Verhoeven as I clean my room.
>>
>>215495988
>cannibal the musical
>orgazmo
Both have really funny commentary tracks cause they all get shitfaced during the movie

Also the laserdisc James bond movies had amazing tell-all commentaries
>>
The commentary of garth merhingi's darkplace is 100% in character and serves as a new season/layer to the narrative.
>>
>>215495953
Simpsons DVD commentary is great
Season 7's were the best, Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein really did make the best era
>>
>>215496143
>>cannibal the musical
>>orgazmo
I don't watch actual trash.

>Also the laserdisc James bond movies had amazing tell-all commentaries

The Fincher ones are great. He has a really relaxing voice.
>>
>>215496280

You know nothing about me. Laughed because you're the type who can't take it when their trash isn't appreciated.

>>
>>215496368
how does it feel that the two unfunny guys are successful, the least funny one being considered an iconic podcaster and acts in prestigious movies while Nick Mullen is days away from suicide?
>>
>>215496392
You don't talk about my best friend nick mullen like that.
>>
>>215496334

>>
>>215495988

What was this weird shit in ROTS?
>>
>>215496458
>"Anakin is Satan."
Not taking it too seriously in context, but when I first put it on and Lucas blurted that out it was nearly a spit take moment.
>>
>>215496127
There was even a free Season 6 box they would have sent you to replace it had they bothered to email Fox about it.
>>
>>215495953

>>
Family Guy season 1-4 commentaries are very comfy
>>
This thread just made me realize that bonus features are truly a lost art in the world of streaming, we are paying for a product missing all the great extras that it USED to have, fucking grim
>>
>>215495953
I just put on MST3K episodes if I want to fall asleep.
>>
>>215497357
It could easily be implemented.
>>
>>215495953
Do "people" actually fall asleep with tv noise in the background?
>>
>>215496392
Adam is funny though
>>
>>215497498
I dont get fully rested if there is noise affecting my subconscious. I will wake up exhausted and my ears tired. There must be a scientific explanation.

I used to have an ancient clock radio that I could turn the volume down to almost nothing, lower than a whisper, but I had it next to my head at the bed and I slept a lot better with music playing all night. It has to be incredibly quiet though and most digital volume sliders don't get quiet enough to really float my boat any more so I suffer. Not to mention my bed now hasn't really got a good spot to put something. I've got a lightbulb with a bluetooth speaker in it so I could funnel music from my phone through it but again it's a matter of volume control. Haven't tried pushing music from my PC to my light bulb, they're different rooms but adjoining so MAYBE it would work. In fact I'm going to go turn the light on and check, good thinking anon
>>
>>215495988
all the Werner Herzog's commentaries are great
>>
>>215497893
Not only does it reach, it might actually be quiet enough. Didn't work as well when my phone was funneling music through it but I've got finer control on my computer. Actually might have to start playing music or audio books or something while I sleep. Hate to leave my computer up while doing it but I fall asleep so much better with some human voices in the background
>>
>>215496041
No they arent
>>
>>215495988
Conan The Barbarian commentary is hilarious it's just Arnold and the director not remember half the shit they're watching because they were high all the time and trying to remember if they fucked the women on screen at the time.
>>
Anyone got a torrent for the first 12 seasons of the simpsons with audio commentary?
>>
>>215498486
Buy them if you want them, you filthy thieving nigger.
>>
>>215495953

Im pretty old so i used to watch the complete dvd when they were new media. Was really into film when i was younger and internet wasnt really a thing back home yet, so it was like being a kid in a candystore with making off's, commentary tracks, promo's, etc. Realy loved Kevin Smith movie's, they had great com tracks. Never used them as white noise tho, i fell asleep with a timer on my stereo in those days
>>
