I really want it to be good, I strongly accept the faggotry inherent in being a fan of harry potter but those books were instrumental in my childhood escapism and as every film came out I got more disappointed with how badly they shitted it up and dropped more of the good bits of the story to add in garbage. I would be very happy if they made a faithful adaptation that put the books first but it's just not going to happen. I'm resigned to the fact it's going to be low effort house of the dragon / witcher tier slop, guarantee there's nobody working on it that actually cares about the material.
