Yeah, I remember feeling a bit of sadness when it was over. The movies are okay, not as good as the highs of the show. The '90s era just gets further and further away and it's depressing. I really love a lot of the adult cartoons from back then.

Being the same age as Daria and graduating high school the same time she did really felt like an end to an era. This show best replicated what it felt like to be a middle-class teenager in the 90s.

She sorta is, but she's surrounded by normies and gets called on her bullshit on a fairly regular basis. She's not a complete Mary Sue as the other characters get sick of her sometimes and she has to realize she's wrong about being a stuck up bitch all the time.

The art teacher trying to get get jane in a Sapphic seduction is quite the episode. I love all the commercial interstitial where they would play the instrumentals of a popular hit song. I remember some alternative bands but can't recall specific songs. Did you listen to the old version or the new version?

Oh yeah, this is obligatory for any Daria thread. Anyone who does want to watch this show NEEDS to torrent the "Restoration Project" version that restores all of the original '90s hits into the soundtrack. Apparently Daria on all DVD releases and streaming services has the soundtrack replaced with generic music. I've never watched that version, but I imagine it's like sucking the soul right out of the show.
