I just watched The Thin Red Line and I wish I hadn't. What a waste of three hours.

What are some examples of slow burn kino? Tarkovsky's Nostalgia feels pretty meandering until the end where it gets oddly intense.
American Gigolo might be a good example too.

Same. I turn off a movie if I'm not entertained in the first 15 minutes. My gf is like "it may get better." I had to explain the concept of "filler" to her. Every movie isn't worth watching. Some of it is shit the pushed out just to push it out.

Hereditary. It was a fucking scam. It was just normal family bullshit for 60 minutes.

I used to chore through slow burns to look sophisticated and impress people online that I will never meet irl. What a waste of my 20s
