I moved from living in Oregon to the tri state area because I had this sensation like I only had one chance at life and I should see what else is out there and see if its what its cracked up to be, I think the city has a lot of novelty but without being wealthy its mostly just enjoying the scenery and trying to be optimistic about how shitty taking subways is. I'm the kind of guy who would drive for hours all across my state for fun because I love a good long scenic drive. Besides driving in the city being impossible being able to afford to park your car is a serious privilege that I don't have so I live just outside Newark for that reason. I've enjoyed the city for a couple years now and had my fill but now I wonder if the secret awesome new york is really in Brooklyn because thats what the hip kids act like. Glad to have checked it out because otherwise I would've spent my whole life wondering what it was all about. My final fomo place to live is Japan, I'm not a total weaboo or nothing but it sounds like an experience, when I finally settle down I'm probably gonna end up back in the pacific northwest because weather wise its paradise

don't get the appeal of living in a city fulltimeI live on the outskirts (suburbs you could say) of a medium-sized city and rarely venture into the city proper as its just fucking hassle getting around in terms of transport then of course you have the usual shit like crazy drug addicts everywhere and all the businesses changing hand almost weekly from one bunch of jeets/wtv to another giving credence to all sorts of wacky 'replacement' conspiracies and living there would require you to live in some shit cardboard box apartment half a mile into the sky ...ugh I dunno! they are obviously good settings for disasterkino with how monumental and familiar they are tho
