Does anybody watch there kino on a projector? I will be moving into my home soon and decorating the place and to be honest a tv can be quite an eye-sore, What is it like gaming/watching film on a projector? I was thinking of spending decent money on one, pic somewhat related. >Pros???>Cons???
pathetic self bump
they're a lot of work to do properly, and if you get lazy you'll end up with a worse experience than a tv.You're better off just buying a thin/no-bezel tv and wall-mounting it properly.
>>215503120What does a lot of work consists of? do you use one?
>>215503199You need to mount it right, you need to configure it right, you need to design *at minimum* the decor and ideally the entire fabric of the room around a "cinema" experience, and you will still get an inferior-to-cinema end result unless you spend at least five times as much money as you would on a TV with the same image quality.Home projection is a complete fucking meme unless you live in an actual mansion with a decidated theatre room you built from scratch for that purpose. Stop being such a dumbass snob and just buy a fucking telly - you can get ones that pretend to be a mirror or a framed picture if you're such a colossal ponce that you're worried about the aesthetics so much.
>>215503199you can't really use them in bright rooms so you need good light control. You either need to paint the wall, or buy and manage a screen. The projectors themselves can run hot and loud.So as i said, unless you don't mind a DIY project, you're better off with a tv.
i have an xgimi halo+ and use it occasionally just projecting on an offwhite painted wall. It's small, has a built in speaker, and 'keystone correction so it can project at severe angle (doesnt have to be facing the wall). I hate android TV etc and mostly just use HDMI in from my computer. it has BT / analog out. got it because I didn't want a big ugly TV taking up space all the time. /blog
