Why has Anthony Bourdain had such a deep and persistent impact on pop culture? Travel food shows are a dime a dozen.

What made his career unique?

you fixating upon him long after his death is not reflective of his popularity in life

He wrote a really popular book.
Also, he was based and redpilled until he fell in love with a whore, many such cases.

Whoa was this shopped

He was pretty unique in the world of travel/food show presenters in his attitude. It's like, punk rock dude. His mildy transgressive beatnik-lite libshit style filled a novel niche in entertainment.
I even liked his content.

I will always respect him for going out of his way to see what the locals of any particular place actually do for fun and culture.
There's a bit where bourdain is at a shitty bar in the Midwest. There's people getting blackout drunk, arm wrestling, and yelling at each other. Bourdain just simply says with a smile "I like this place".
