holy fuck I've just wasted nearly 2 hours watching kid and her father on boring vacation in turkey in 90s
>>215510942I really thought it was going to be revealed that he was abusing her or something.
like really, I demand an explanation, it's praised everywhere as this tear-jerking movie, I thought at the airport someone will kidnap her or some shit and then the film just fucking ends
>>215511032It's implied, that's why she becomes a lesbian.
>>215510942I tried to warn you.Congrats on discovering this absolute crapheap of a film that will unfortunately be used to define millennial filmmaking.>>215511044The explanation is that he killed himself and the holiday was his attempt to leave his daughter with one last set of happy memories. You know, the sort of thing that would've been boring in a short film but had to be 2 hours because it's just the director trauma dumping lazily.
>>215510942>>215511032>>215511044you can't be that stupid, come on
Yeah I don't understand these types of films. It's supposed to be "moving" I guess but literally who cares. I don't watch movies to project my own life and feelings onto them, show me some actually interesting scenarios and character relationships that can stand on their own. What a load of slopI haven't actually watched the movie I just read some reviews and got an idea of what I imagine it is like
It didn't make me sad, but I thought Paul played his character really well. The movie was neither here nor there. I definitely didn't regret watching it.
>>215510942Yeah but she's gay now so it's deep or something.
>>215510942saar
>>215511044Is about the relationship of the director with his father, also is about a kid seeing his father that he doesnt know that much kinda dissapear and go away of time from this trip that was the last moment they had it implies that his father has problems is depressed and even something happens to him after the trip suicide etc, it really hit me as a father in the dance scene as im far away from my kids and my kid is reaching that age exactly the age of the kid in the movie and it make me fucking squeeze my heart when the father is seeing her in the dark and it changes from her adult person trying to reach him to her kid person smiling and that when i got it, its problably the movie that i have seen that resembles an open heart the most, that moment make me think that i dont want my kid to lost me and grown up without having me, photo of the director and his father in their trip
>>215512298so she was molested as well
>>215513188Why do you keep saying the director and his father
>>215513188The director is a woman, retard. Also, learn some fucking English
>>215510942With millenials and zoomers being raised in single parent households, the movie is set to be a classic. I think it is made specifically for these kinds of people and anyone who's grown up in a normal family won't value the film at all, and I don't mean that as a criticism.
>Two hours of messing around at some generic holiday resort>Oh, but he died later, that makes it really sad and totally worth being bored for so longDishonest filmmaking at its finest. The only reason I even made it through the movie is because the girl was hot af.
>>215513432muzzie detected
>>215513432What kind of person write this kind of comments, and thinks yeah, that was good
I love it, became one of my favouritesIf you're not into these kinds of films in the first place you won't like it
he was gay
