Addiction

yeah i got that part

Addiction to heroin, addiction to the criminal lifestyle, even in the face of "better" things such as his daughter's wedding. Probably illustrates his very earnest struggle to "get better" more effectively than any other film I can think of, coming from somehow who knows people dealing with addiction.

danish people literally have no other movies of note so they need to latch onto this boring shit. these movies all suck. refn didn't get good until drive. i refuse to read euroseethe responses and will not be returning to this thread.

Someone*
I particularly like how much he wears his sobriety as a badge of honour, tries really hard to stay on the straight and narrow, cooking for everyone at the party, but when he finally caves in and smokes the opium you can see how much he truly loves it. Hard to accept as someone who knows and cares about an addict, but I think for a lot of them, it is something they truly love in life. I like that the film doesn't shy away from that reality.

Why did he get away with it? The first two movies had more sympathetic protags who met worse fates

The guy he killed was pimping an underage girl. I think the punishment for him is the relapse itself.

17 is legal in europe

Still extremely immoral, especially because the girl looks to be brought there by force.

>>215513491
i suppose. I did like that the movie had "nothing" happening until he himself took drugs to feel like you the viewer had just taken them when everything started to hit

Sorry, Frankie. Boss always comes out on top

I actually like Pusher 3 maybe the most out of the trilogy, maybe because Milo seems like a less sympathetic character on the surface. The sequel will likely resonate more with people, since Tonny is pretty much an overgrown child with daddy issues, but there's something tragic about Milo's struggle, maybe because I get the sense he's really trying to turn his life around, that makes it hit harder for me.

i actually liked the first the best which is the normalfag opinion but heyho. All 3 were great to be fair
