how did you like cbc's rendition of anne of green gables
>>
I only watched the first two seasons

anne with a dd's

It was just okay.

Just too many cooks in the kitchen who wanted it to be too many different things at the same time.

Yea, it started getting more and more disjointed season by season. I enjoyed the first two seasons, but ended up finishing the series more because I wanted to like it than actually liking it.

What did she mean by this

It started out "What if we did Anne of Green Gables but gritty, with all the subtle implied trauma stuff being explicitly shown" which worked out okay.

Then at a certain point it started being generic rubbish more about girlbossing and meeting diversity quotas than telling an interesting story.
