It's not a crime movie. It's a nu grindhouse exploitation flick. Zombie has kept on doing what he does, and sometimes it's interesting. Unfortunately he's really bad at directing.
he made this after house of 1000 corpses and took all the criticisms he got from that to heart and made effort to improve when making Devil’s Rejects. But then Devil’s Rejects got better reviews so he went back to doing whatever the fuck he wanted. I think House is kino too though so fuck it. And Lords of Salem.
