I just rewatched thunderbolts for the second time. There are no good actors in the movie except for Bucky. Yelena in particular is really bad.
Florence is a good actress, blame the script.

I think the movie would've worked better if they dropped Red Guardian, made US Agent the lead, given Ghost more to do, and reduced Bucky's role and having it focused more on screwing with Dreyfus's character. Yelena and Robert's budding romance should still be central to the plot and the way the day is saved but the team just has too many generic super soldiers.Also having a 4 man team (US Agent, Widow, Sentry, Ghost) at the end is a better setup for a potential sequel where they can get a fifth member (preferably someone magic to round out the powers) and introduce a character like Fixer as a homebase tech support guy as a tease for actual Thunderbolts after the team gets renamed to New Avengers. And I still think if they did a sequel it's the perfect opportunity to do a big shit villain like Nightmare that saw the shit Sentry did in New York and became interested.

I am so fucking confused as to why Bucky is even still in the MCU. Don't get me wrong, ever since The First Avenger I wanted to see more of him, and that want only increased after Winter Soldier, and finally with Civil War.After that? I have no idea what his purpose is, or why he even exists. He's in Wakander for a few years I guess, but he's mysteriously absent during their own civil war. Then he shows up to in Infinity War to shoot a machine gun at intergalactic alien dogs seemingly comprised entirely of raw muscle. Then he gets dusted. Then he gets undusted. Can't even remember if he has a single scene during that clusterfuck nightmare that was the Battle of Earth. Helps give Joe Biden his embarrassing Oscar scene. Shows back up in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, even though at that point there is no Winter Soldier, but whatever. Does pretty much nothing because it turns out the show isn't even really about Falcon or the Winter Soldier, nor does either character have anything to really do with the plot or how it unfolds or how it resolves. Then he shows up in BRAVE. NEW. WORLD. for a five second cameo that was an obvious reshoot to pay respects to some random hispanic tech wizard who by that point I forgot even existed, and to establish that he's a member of congress... or running for congress? Because that's totally in-character and makes sense.Then Thunderbolts comes along and he's part of some sort of suicide squad? I mean really, what the flying fuck is even going on? Does this nigga not have a life? What a fucking waste of Sebastian Stan and the character.
