because most actresses careers are over once they hit 30, especially if they're known for their looks and not their acting, a little plastic surgery can keep you going for a little longer. First few procedures looks great and you feel rejuvenated, in a few years you get a few more, and a few more, and a few more.

not to mention their career, life work and probably a lot of their self work are all tied up to their appearance and that's gonna do a number on you when you start to age. Its a recipe for mental health and body image problems.
