I wish they kept Ugly Sonic.
I prefer attempts at a video game movie rather than a product of a video game movie.
With attempts you can see the soul and earnest. These people had no idea what a sonic was beforehand. They looked up a picture on Google and went with whatever they could remember.
The studio caving in to the millions of whiny fans just shows how spineless most creative heads at these big wig places. There is no artistic integrity with the Sonic movies as they currently are, just soulless product with fan service being thrown across the screen to trick you into thinking its a movie.
Ugly Sonic was just a vibe. The aesthetic of a video game movie with a realistic hedgehog man would've made for a far more entertaining and memorable viewing experience. We could have gotten the five guys of movies, instead we got the basic $5 meal deal from McDonalds of movies.
