Are you FUCKING me right now?

When Crispin Glover slams his fists on the kitchen counter in Wild At Heart and screams, "I'M MAKING MY LUNCH!"

Please.
>>
Hang on, isn't David Lynch always doing comedy though?
>>
>>215519936
If you don't, appreciate the humor of Blue Velvet you just don't get Lynch.
>>
>>215520114
Holy fuck I had forgotten about that kek. One of the funniest bits Lynch ever directed.

i spent 2/3rds of my first time watching twin peaks laughing my ass off, as soon as catherine shows up in yellow face i nearly fell out of my chair laughing so hard dude absolutely had a sense of humor
>>
>>215519936
there's a lot of humour in Lynch's works. parts of Twin Peaks and Wild at Heart are just straight up comedy, but it tinges most of his work.

NEVER go to screenings of old "cult classic" films.
Its 100% faggot redditors in the audience and they will laugh and quip at every fucking line of dialogue and scene.
>>
>>215519936
I was at an Eraserhead screening with a couple of friends and the only other people there was this fat zoomer couple, about 17 or something. They'd laugh at most scenes and as we were walking out of the theatre, I heard the guy go "it was kinda like The Grand Budapest Hotel but darker" shit made me want to vomit.
>>
>>215519936
Maybe he shouldn't have been a hack then
>>
>literally known for telling people to make their own interpretation of his work
>some faggots are like “nooooo you can’t laugh at it because some faggot on plebbit and youtube said this is what the film is actually about!!!!”
Kys, if you think his films are comedies, good for you. Don’t let some soi fucking NIGGER online tell you otherwise
>>
>>215519936
He cast himself as the comedic relief character in Twin Peaks. Homeboy had a great sense of humor

I think I'll pass
>>
Reminds me of that time I watched Three Billboards at the theater.
Some basedboy faggot next to me laughed any time Sam Rockwell made some racist joke. No, he didn't laugh because he found those jokes funny, it was very clear he was laughing out of embarrassment. Ruined the movie for me.
>>
>>215519936
This seems to me like an opinion that doesn't understand Lynch's film making philosophy to begin with.
Lynch is THE open to interpretation director and clearly uses intentional humour all the fucking time, even in his darkest films.
>>
Almost all of Lynch's productions have some comedic moments.

It's like that boss baby tweet
>>
HEINEKEN?
FUCK THAT SHIT
>>
>>215519936
Lynch wanted people to laugh at bits of Blue Velvet then immediately fucks with them by following up with dark stuff.

>>
This guy doesn't know the story of David Lynch laughing hysterically at certain scenes during filming of Blue Belvet
>>
>>215519936
Lynch's movies are really funny though. They're made to have comedy in them.

The anniversary screening I went to for back to the future was one of my best cinemagoing experiences, but then again that was in 2010 IIRC, so things might have changed since then, the terminator 1 screening I went to was awful since I had a weirdo following me around the premises after the movie was over talking to me as if I was an expert on the terminator franchise when I had never seen a terminator movie before, and saying stuff like "wasn't it very wholesome when Sarah and Kyle had sex? :)"
