It was very clear what the Eldians and Marleyans represented and where the story was going. It objectively cucked out at the end when Erin decided not to follow through on the Rumbling, all his peers decided for some reason that killing was wrong no matter the context (even though they're fucking soldiers who have been trained to kill their entire lives), and the writers injected some sort of weird liberal kumbaya bullshit at the end that made no sense given that the entire world - and especially the Marleyans - CLEARLY harbored a deep hatred for Eldians that would never go away.
