>In 1996, director Dave Parker pitched crossover film HELLOWEEN to Dimension Films. Parker’s pitch featured young Michael Myers receiving the Lament Configuration by Dr. Terrence Wynn, the leader of the Cult of Thorn, in 1963. After solving the puzzle, Michael is possessed by malevolent Cenobite Samhain, who becomes “the Shape” that compels Michael to kill and makes him immortal. On present day, a group of survivors gets together on Halloween night to destroy the Myers house and find the Box, accidentally summoning Pinhead and his followers. Michael returns home at the same night, and after realizing he is a vessel for Samhain, Pinhead sets out to destroy Michael in order to bring Samhain back to Hell, but Michael proves himself a deadlier adversary than expected.>Dimension Films rejected the concept at first, but after FREDDY VS. JASON became a box office hit in 2002, they greenlit MICHAEL VS. PINHEAD, with John Carpenter set to direct from a script by Clive Barker, who was eager to explore the convergences between universes and how Pinhead deals with an opponent like Michael, who appears impervious to physical pain or sexual pleasure. However, producer Moustapha Akkad, who held the rights to the “Halloween” franchise, disliked the concept as he felt Michael was above such gimmicks and the project was scrapped.

I'd watch it.
The only good horror versus idea since Freddy vs. Jason has been the JigCU.
