>here's why the 60s were bad:
>its because people were mean to black people and women and gays
thats the whole show, with some backhanded compliments thrown to chuds to keep them watching the re-education propatainment
>>

that's literally no the show at all
roger basically jokes about having to hire darkies and it's basically a running gag throughout the rest of the show
they're never anything other than a site-gag background characters at best
plus there's like 3-4 darkies in teh entire show (with less than 2-3 minutes of screen time total)
>>
It was supposed to look bad? This show made the 60s look based.
>>
>>215531184
redpill me on the women and gay
>>
tv shows with political propaganda and indocrtination baked in? no way!
>>
>black people
the only niggers i remember from this show was kingsley's gf and the elevator man
>women
the only woman who got treated bad was peggy for the first 2 seasons only and betty because betty is worse than skyler tier insane and crazy
>>
>>215531139
Its portrayal of the 60s is complete BS.
It's not even remotely convincing.
>>
As someone said in a previous thread, MM looks like it's a good show, it just isn't that great.
It feels like a somewhat pretentious chain steakhouse.
>>
>>215531139
I mean, yeah? This stuff's catnip to white women, the target audience.

At least half the gays were evil and/or murderers. Joan basically arranges to have her lesbian roommate raped and the show doesn’t punish her. As for women it showed the 60s allowing women to be more autonomous and “liberated” than anything like oppressed. Peggy tried to compare treatment of black people to women, women fairing worse, and the only thing it accomplished given the show thus is to imply neither has it bad

>this propaganda didn't work against me so that means it isn't propaganda
wew lad
>>
>>215532997
Joan was punished by being shown as powerless and marginalized herself. She marries the guy who raped her on the office floor, fucked the fat ugly guy from GM to get a stake in Don's new firm and then gets laughed out of McCann after the merger. And she winds up a friendless cunt with no husband, no boyfriend and a kid with no father.

>America was peak when it was a racist, sexist, homophobic masculine society
Agreed
>>
i watched the first episode and dropped it. people talk up the its toasted thing and i just didnt give a fuck. everything else involving the misogyny felt like it was there purely to elicit a response from a modern audience.
>>
>>215533260
yeah basically this
they would give weird pauses after misogynistic/racist/homophobic comments for the audience to be disgusted/make comments in the same way comedy shows gives pauses for the audience to laugh
its fucking bizarre

Imagine being this much of a buck broken zoomer. You think Roger doing blackface and singing in a play pretending to be a nigger kid rowing a boat is actually secretly woke and a SJW trap to make him look bad instead of hilarious and kino.

No wonder I have zoomettes on my cock all day you guys probably think pussy is gay
>>
>Watching the show again
>First thing Rumsen says after he finds out about Lucky Strike leaving is that he has to make a call and is gone for the rest of the season
>Few episodes later it's mentioned they lost Pond's Cold Cream
>Start of season 5 it's mentioned that Freddy is still sober

Guy saw the way the wind was blowing, grabbed his buddy's file, and dipped to get a job elsewhere.
