You're all forgetting how realistically well-written the female characters are on the show. Truman's brother's fiancee is also a woman, and therefore absolutely already knows that Truman's mother hates her, even if none of the male characters have figured it out yet. She probably hates Truman's mother just as much. Her character probably picked up on it right away the day they met.

So nothing would make either of them happier than driving a wedge between Truman's brother and the other most important woman in his life. At this point, Truman's brother is just a pawn in their catfight and this female Cold War is going to make Truman's entire family miserable for an entire generation unless something gets done. Neither of them really cares about Truman's brother if this is how they're both going to carry on, so I for one hope Truman cares enough about his brother to say something and they can all have a discussion about it. Either the hatred is justified and Truman's mom can plead her case, or Truman's mom can grow up and shut the fuck up about it permanently instead of acting like some snotty little teenager trying to get out of a math test.

If Truman doesn't say something to his brother now and get everything out in the open BEFORE the wedding, we can expect 20 more seasons of those two characters being passive-aggressive toward one another. That will leave Truman, his little sister, and his brother caught in the middle of their petty little bitchy woman feud until Truman's mother passes away or Truman's brother gets a divorce.
