I don't think there's ever been a show as consistent in quality as south park.
It's been "pretty funny" literally for the entire run, even the weakest parts mog the best episodes of some other animated shows.

The first episode with Trump made me laugh but they kept dragging it out like the Tegridy farms crap. In the 2000’s one of the greatest things about South Park is that you had no idea what the next episode was going to be about but you knew it would be clever. The Kathleen Kennedy episode was their last really solid one.
