Just watched this.
The Hal part(middle of the movie) was the only part I cared about. I get what they were trying to do, but a lot of sequences go for way too long, and the end is kinda silly.

the end is straight up garbage, it's alright to admit that now. but I like the long space sequences, I would like them even better if they didn't have gay classical music.

Apparently there was people taking LSD and going to see this for the stargate sequence at the end, and it was the most kino experience the human mind could possibly comprehend.
