For Doctor Who you cannot tell me Gatwa is a natural evolution. Even compared to Whitaker it's a shi(f)t.
For WoT and TRoP the demographic they went for was not high fantasy fans (at best TikTokers in that space and let's face if they know fuck all about high fantasy).
For Marvel it was clear they wanted that PoC/Women audience as opposed to the predominantly male audience they had before. Look at the characters that featured in Phase 4-5 compared to 1-3.
