very overrated. riding on a long prestige tail by virtue of being a common rec entry level film for initially making a splash being "taboo" back when it had less competition among viewer access. same with Ichi and Audition though with more merit. so many far more deserving J-kinos.

It's still a better than you'd expect semi-anthology that loses steam the farther along it gets. Better than average but not worth seeking out.
