Why were they looking at a neighbouring galaxy?
>>215542015Because Ezra was teleported there with Thrawn by space whales. Didn't you see the cartoons?
>>215542015It spins too fast for a galaxy. Those would be FTL stars.
because they were far far away
They weren't looking, they were listening. And that's what nobody did.
>>215542251>Those would be FTL stars. Why would they care, they ARE the light.
>>215542251He gets up and walks over to Leia. There is a new bond between them, a new understanding. Leia is thinking about Han; Luke is thinking about his uncertain and newly complicated future. Together they stand at the large window of the medical center looking out on the Rebel Star Cruiser and a dense, luminous galaxy swirling in space.Luke puts his arm around Leia. The droids stand next to them, and Threepio moves closer to Artoo putting his arm on him. The group watches as the Millennium Falcon moves into view, makes a turn, and zooms away into space.EXT. SPACE - REBEL STAR CRUISERWhile Luke, Leia, and the droids stand, looking out the window of the star cruiser, two escort fighters join the large ship. Slowly, the cruiser turns and moves away into space. DISSOLVE TO EXT. GALAXY - SPACE
>>215542015They're on the galaxy's outer rim.
>>215542251They stood there for 100,000 years!
>>215543376That's too much scene direction. Lucas is a hack.
It's interesting that moments like this weren't really possible in the prequels, because Lucas didn't try to replicate the "group of buddies" dynamic. In the prequels Anakin and Obi-Wan are brought together principally by rules and institutions. They don't have a friendship, they have a strained working relationship that sees Anakin furiously complaining about Obi-Wan behind his back. Anakin's romance with Padme is genuine, but it's also an illicit affair that has to be kept secret from the world, as if it's somehow shameful like closeted homosexuality.None of this necessarily bad, though. It's just that the prequels lack the comfy quality that people enjoyed so much in the originals.
>>215543718The prequels are dogshit
>>215542015They are watching the Milky Way galaxy form.
>>215542015You can see our own galaxy at night.
>>215542015>Why were they looking at a neighbouring galaxy?ok star wars is made for children, it always was, especially the original trilogies. that's why disney owns it, it's for children.if you want anything approaching scientific accuracy in your american tv you need to watch trek I don't know what to say anon
>>215542015This guy
>>215543452I'd explore Leia's outer rim if you catch my drift
>>215542015If you had a window with a galaxy outside it, you would look at it too.
>>215542015Why didnt they just flee to that galaxy
Remember, when you see an image of a galaxy like this, that the galaxy itself is 100,000 light years wide, so that means the light from the far stars is 100,000 years older than the light from the near stars, so you are seeing part of the galaxy from one period of time and the other part from much later
>>215542015>b b but George isn't retarded! >i i i it's just a protoplanetary disk, sweaty! >why isn't the star blinding and outshining everything else? >because they have a polariser on the window you fucking chud
>>215542015It's just a movie, home dog.
>>215542015IIRC they were watching the Millennium Falcon depart. The galaxy just happened to be in the back ground.
>>215542015That's the Rishi Maze that Dexter Jettster mentioned.
>>215543576k, let's see your epochal kino.
>>215542015because a galaxy far far away is actually hell
>>215542015to all the autism on this thread, add that the galaxy in SW is supposed to be sorrounded by a huge distortion that makes it very difficult to leave or enter it.
>>215543452/Thread>>215543576He made some of the best movies ever made and definitely the most successful ones. I think he did it correctly.>>215543718Well, it is a tragedy
