Why did Marv turn into a skeleton?
'Cause old cartoons like Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes would depict electrocution as if it had an x-ray photograph effect. John Hughes wanted to movie to have that same cartoonyness.
there's a skeleton inside you right now

That's not Marv actually, they switched out the actor really quickly for a prop skeleton when you weren't looking. It's a fun little trick you can play as a filmmaker.
>>215543455because he drank the vodka from a sunken russian freighter.
>>215543503It was weirdly pull off. Like typically in a cartoon, you see the glow of the skeleton, underneath the skin. Here the skin completely disappears and the bones are just there for a few seconds. Maybe they should have edited it better and it would have come across more clear.
>>215543538Bullshit, you’d have been able to see him run out of shot if they’d done that
>>215543626That's why it's called movie magic. They actually teleport him in and out of the shot. If you play the scene back in super slow mo you can see the very moment they do it.
