I already much prefer the pacing of the TV show. So much of the novels horror comes from the slow unease of the town itself feeling just as evil as Pennywise himself, and it was completely lost in both book adaptations. Welcome to Derry actually has the breathing room to fix that.

It's making me wish that the 2017 reboot was just a series instead (you could have alternated episodes between kids and adults)
