Literally the best horror film ever made
>>215546140not even top 5 best horror movies by Carpenter
>>215546140No.>>215546189The five betterer?
>>215546140Agreed. It does Stephen King better than King.
>>215546140It kind of fizzles out at the end though.
>>215546189The only one better is The Thing.
>>215546140True.I don't know a single movie before that play with meta narrative. That picrel scene is insanely good idea, cheap and so efficient.
>>215546140Yes
>>215546140Its the best of his slop years. He clearly had some great ideas, but the last act was messy as hell. Him in the movie theater was a great image, but the actual editing feels ADHD
>>2155461401. The Thing2. Christine 3. ITMOM 4. Halloween 5. The Fog Its a tight competition tho
It's very comfy. I rewatch it when I need a mood lift. Reminds me of better times
>>215546255>>215546386The Thing > They Live > Halloween > Prince Of Darkness > The Fog > Christine > In The Mouth of Madness
the end was a real shit
>>215546189tier 1: The Thing, Christinetier 2: They Livetier 3: Ward, In the Mouth of Madness, Prince of Darknesstier 4: Halloween, Vampires, Village of the Damned The Fog, Assault on Precinct 13deserves a special tier: Ghosts of Mars>not horrorgood: Big Trouble in Little China, Memoirs of an Invisible Manmid: Starmanbad: Escape from (both)The biggest let-down for me was Prince of Darkness. There were some ideas that were really truly amazing: schizo hobos being controlled, the dream transmission sequences, nerd impaled on bicycle, I've got a message for you, ... but the pacing was shit, sound track would is the same annoying tune over and over and after 15 mins I just want it to stop, costumes were bad at the end and the ending was meh.
>>215549189They live is trash, this director in general sucks
>>215548030>The FogPlease be trolling
