I don't understand why the public in that scene immediately turns against Superman. In this universe full of technology and magic, didn't they consider that the message might be a fake? Mr. Terrific says it's 100% real, but the public couldn't know that. But even if they did believe it, why did they start cursing and throwing things at Superman? Shouldn't they be afraid that now that his plan was discovered, he's gonna drop the nice guy act and kill everyone? Why start antagonizing the guy if you think he's a super powerful alien sent to enslave the human race? Wouldn't it make more sense for them to cower in fear and run away?
