The real reason modern Hollywood budgets are ballooning out of control is a retardedly inefficient production process that often starts filming before the script and the scope of the movie is even finalized, resulting in tons of wasted filming time, reshoot after reshoot, lots of post production work, etc. Well that and various flavors of embezzlement, made easier by the convoluted production process. That is why most foreign films (or the Hallmark stuff mentioned above) need much less of budget to make stuff. AI is not going to fix those sorts of problems.
