If you make a movie that is suppose to be impressive due the budget being spent on slave labor and putting the camera on a lift rig to get proper view angles What if there comes a time when you can do a lot more with better camera and miniatures? I think the answer boils down to that most of them are not impressive outside of the budget. And even among equals, there is always going to be the better films.So its more about the better of the films getting some decent survivorship bias, where you can after liking those go back and watch similar but a bit more forgotten films. Similarly, we are not at a point where its possible that a lot of the Disney clone films from the 1980s is going to be forgotten, because their art quality is supbar despite every set of not inbetweens being a painting.
