Not a big fan of Chainsawman, but the movie is godtier in my opinion. I saw it like 5 times already, 3 in Japan and twice here. I like Reze a lot, her arc didn't really compel me in the manga but in the adaptation they perfected it. I love pretty much everything about it, the only gripes are the CG cars but those in total are only like 10 seconds total. The romance is rushed as fuck but it was all a ploy, it's meant to be that way. Both the antagonist and chainsawboy were conflicted the whole time, their interactions were fun and the battle was dizzying and chaotic in the best way possible. The score is great, the opening and ending songs are on constant repeat in my playlist at work. I love the direction of it, the hazy blurriness of the festival, the awkwardness but teenage joy of the pool scene, even the theater date with the girl saying "Only 1 good movies out of 10 but it's worth the effort because 1 of those can change your life". It's anime as fuck but it's the writing is surprisingly decent. Reze is loveable and the film just made sure you have a good time visually and in every way possible. (I saw Demon Slayer Infinity Castle. Admittedly, I'm not a big fan of it either, only watched 3 episodes. And despite the good animation, that was WAY worse than Chainsawman.)
