Freddy Got Fingered literally had the same concept. The recommendation on how to expand the cartoon Gord gets is very similar to how the movie itself then plays out. I think even Doug Walker noticed that thing.

Why do other jews hate Kaufman? He has been getting in a lot of trouble financing projects, I think like two or three films he worked on fell apart, an even finding work for hire is troublesome, he wrote a DreamWorks cartoon for Netflix last year, and it was rewritten by the studio a bunch of times to the point it became barely recognizable that Kaufman worked on it (there's a mild meta element to it).
