>>215556986I went back and rewatched a bunch of Black Mirror for the first time since it initially released, I only had seen the first three or so seasons but there are some pretty rock solid episodes. Don’t get me wrong, it’s hugely a hit-or-miss show and there are some absolute stinkers of episodes but when it hits it’s great and the social commentary is pretty on the nose. One that I really liked was the episode Common Ple where Rashida Jones has a stroke and they do this new procedure that reverses it so that she’s not a vegetable on life support but it’s on a monthly paid subscription service to keep her alive that keeps getting more and more expensive as they add more deluxe plans and it gets to the point where on the basic $300/month plan every couple minutes she goes into a fugue state and will verbally rattle off advertisements and then snap back into reality not knowing what happened.
