>peaks and concludes superman only 3 years after the character debuted
>>215560403The first season of Lois and Clark was good.
>>215560403While I would agree it's peak–the writers for the Superman Animated Series agree as well–the unfortunate truth is that it lacks really captivating stories. It's very of the time with WW2 propaganda episodes like Superman smashing up a bunch of Japanese warships and such and the characterization of Superman is boiled down to his most core traits. This was fine in the 40's, but in modern day it seems very one-note and dated. Nevertheless, it's still one of the best adaptations of Superman and mogs a lot of animated series today with its cutting-edge rotoscoping animation.
>>215560560It is, and just INSANE how unwatchable it got after that. I'm watching Superman the animated series with my daughter each evening after dinner at the moment and we're loving that. She's seen BTAS but was too young to recall the storylines now. She's 2 and a half and likes to vary between larping as Lex in a mech suit to fight me as Superman or as Lois, where she commits too hard to the bit and falls off her bed so I have to catch her and says 'you saved me, Superman'
>>215560403Mechanical Monsters is the greatest piece of Superman media ever made and no one can convince me otherwise.
>>215560710Cute.
>>215560403This had better animation than every superhero cartoon since
Bulleteers, Mummy's Curse, and Billion Dollar Inc are the peak.
>>215560560>>215560710the second season was even better than the first, didn't become shit until S3
>>215561666You're surely right, just checked the episode descriptions, we watched all of it. I know it definitely got laughably bad. My wife thinks that coincides with Lex killing himself. I definitely recall wrong on the cut off point.
