This is a great movie. My only regret is you never got to see the Japanese chick's ass or anything. I ended up buying this on DVD back in the day and got the Arrow Blu-ray when it came out.

It's actually not that deep. Neither the director nor the original author would be considered feminists by Western standards.
I was kinda surprised when I found out a lot of Western critics were thinking this movie was a harsh criticism of sexism in Japan.
