>>215565456Yes>bad blood is the best comedic episode >Pusher is one of the best episodes in general
The majority of those are good, not counting the Lone Gunmen stuff which I've never seen. Definitely tapers off at the end like the whole show, but even then Jump The Shark was good.
>>215565456Folie a Deux is legitimately the creepiest X files episode
>>215565456Vince is a big factor in why X-Files is a classic. Chris Carter had a cool idea he had no clue what to do with, but it was Vince and the other writers that made the show great.
>*Kills the series by being too good at writing, leaving and having everyone else fail to copy his style*What the fuck did he mean by this?
>>215565456Extremely so. Pusher, Unruhe, Paper Hearts, Bad Blood, Folie à Deux, Drive, Field Trip, X-Cops, Je Souhaite and Roadrunners are top kino of the highest order.
He did Christmas Carol? Grim
>>215565655>Kills the seriesWhat the fuck are you on? Comedic X-Files episodes were great but only in moderation, you can't have most of the show become like that.
>>215565775Field Trip is one of the worst episodes of the whole series.
What do showrunners do if each episode has a new director or writer?
>>215565817Actually it was him and 2 other main writers, so you just know it was a troubled production. Also now that I realized it, Sunshine Days is missing from OP's pic. One of my favourite Gilligan episodes along with >>215565775
>>215565853Awful opinion but ok.
>>215565869Meant for >>215565778 I'm dumb
>>215565869>Sunshine Days is missing from OP's picIt's at the very end, bro. They're in order.
>>215565883>literally nothing but fake-outs for 40 minutesIt worked great as a 2 minute cold open and everything after that was the worst film school surrealism anyone's ever made.
>>215565456Of course, bravo Vince.Tithonus is my favorite of his, so underrated. His comedy episodes are good, but he was just the Darin replacement and he never reached his heights, they were just goofy eps without that satirical edge and bitter tone underneath. But he was more versatile at mixing comedy with serious plots. But he was definitely the most exciting writer after the Morgans left. And obviously BrBa/BCS are fantastic and show he could do more than just be a poor man's Darin. He absolutely butchered the Millennium crossover though.
>>215565924>giant fungus keeps its preys calm by appeasing them with a nice scenario where their bias are validated so that it can consume them in peace>captured Mulder and Scully separately come to the conclusion that something is very wrong when the other is not challenging their theories as usual and that's why they make such a good team, they even end up merging into each others' illusions trying to find a way outTop tier premise and execution, I'm sorry you couldn't appreciate it.
>>215565456>no remarkable episodes
>Episode called Memento Mori>It's one of the least memorable episodes of the first five seasons
>>2155654563 episodes there make the top 10. He's good.
>>215565857The vast majority of The X-Files episodes included re-writes by Chris Carter. No episode made it to air without his stamp of approval. The few exceptions I can think of are the Darin Morgan episodes (where he had little to no input), and the Morgan and Wong episodes from season 4, the only way to get them to agree to return was to leave them alone (and even then, Chris Carter vetoed them trying killing Frohike).
>>215566575Makes sense. If you let them have full freedom separate from each other, the show ends up a mess. Then again, X-Files is a mess anyways.
>>215565509Pusher? You mean cerulean blue.
>>215565912My bad, I saw the TLG episodes and stopped looking. One of these days I will watch it.
