Is it horror? I don't think. Definitely more of a sci-fi drama-thriller. I still enjoyed it, but wish they went horror with the villain instead of the abundance of cancer scenes.

I guess that would be Parents, with Randy Quaid and Mary Beth Hurt. It has a real offbeat quality to it and some satirical elements. Not a terribly high body count, but lots of haunting dream imagery. The kid is maybe the sourest note in the whole piece. Maybe not my favorite movie, but objectively the best horror movie I've seen so far this year.
